Finally got to their great new location! Parking, indoor and outdoor seating and seemingly more capacity to have more doughnuts later in the morning! I continue to love their creativity very much! Had the Wurtzel hot dog special. It was very tasty! My wife greatly enjoyed the rancheros and gave it a high compliment comparing it favorably to one of our favorite Austin, TX food favorites.
Glory Doug is the most inclusive and delicious donut stop I've ever been to. I was so impressed with the menu and the once inside the atmosphere was so welcoming, chill, and comfortable. The staff was engaging and fun to chat with. Our donuts and cookies were delicious! If you have time order your food and stick around to chat, read, or to just sit and enjoy being. Try the Maple Bourbon donut and the Broccoli "Chedda" soup!
This place has the best vegan donuts I've ever had. In fact, they're maybe the best donuts I've ever had. They're light, fluffy, and don't contain any animal products. I've tried numerous fancy ones, but TBH, I like the twist with sugar and cinnamon on it the best. My 7yo daughter also agrees that she'd bypass even the one slathered with chocolate frosting and sprinkles to have the twist. It's solid. Give to your non-vegan friends and they won't know the difference and they'll be begging for more. They're no longer masking in the restaurant (workers or patrons-- except I saw a few in the back of the house making food who were masked). I still masked grabbing my donuts to go. Their new location has lots of parking in the back (yay) and even a cute park area you can go to and have your pickup order (no eating inside still as of 6/11/21) if the weather is nice. I'm not often back in the area, but this is a definite go-to when in Frederick!
Located in quaint Frederick, MD, surrounded by small boutiques, coffee shops, and brewery. My bf and I ordered take out brunch on a Saturday morning after a long hike. We ordered right outside of the shop and our food was ready in 30 minutes for pick up. I appreciate the COVID measures Glory Doughnuts take to ensure we and they are all safe can can enjoy amazing food! BBQ Tofu Club: This sandwich was incredible. All of the flavors were there making the sandwich super savory and filling. I loved the BBQ and the melted cheese was out of this world. The Baker's Breakfast: Great dish if you are looking for something light. The eggs were fluffy, potatoes had incredible flavor, and the apple butter kept me wanting more. Pumpkin Cheesecake & Strawberry Doughnuts: THESE DOUGHNUTS ARE INCREDIBLE YEAST DONUTS. It was super light, fluffy, and bouncy in certain areas. The pumpkin cheesecake was my favorite of the two. Can't wait to come back and try other doughnut flavors.
This is a very cute doughnuts and diner place in downtown Frederick area. They have an incredible menu of all kinds of choices that you really will have to try over many visits. I'm getting the Monte Cristo today, but I am totally eyeing the Salted Apple Pie Stuffed French Toast that's only available Fri-Sun. Kids are getting doughnuts. Highly recommend! There's a line so be patient. By the way - this is a 100% vegan diner - eggs are tofu, doughnuts vegan. I had no idea, but not only could I not tell the difference (I'm not vegan), they were better than normal doughnuts).
